Janet Sweet Scholarship Fund

In recognition of Janet Sweet’s 30 years as a devoted employee of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Comal County, the Janet Sweet Scholarship will be open to graduating high school seniors who have participated in Comal County 4-H.

Janet has been a loyal friend of 4-H families. As a 4-H member herself in Ohio, Janet used her passion for education and love of 4-H to assist everyone in the program from new families to graduating seniors, and even to the next generation of 4-H’ers whose kids are currently enrolled in 4-H.

Janet has always instilled and invested in the youth of the community. Funding for this scholarship will ensure that graduating high school seniors in the community will be afforded the opportunity to get a college education, and is designed to ease the expense of tuition costs.

Janet has lived the 4-H Pledge which reads:

I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, my health to better living, for my club, my community my county, and my world.

Thank you, Janet Sweet, for 30 years of loyalty to 4-H youth! May your love and support live on with this scholarship.
